Mine Storage is proud to have been selected as speaker at the International Hydropower Association (IHA) Capabilities, Costs & Innovation Working Group meeting.
Mine Storage is a sustainable application of pumped storage hydro where water and gravity combined with the head of mines creates a large-scale energy storage that can help accelerate the transition from brown to green electricity.
As part of the partnership with International Hydropower Association (IHA), Thomas Johansson, CEO of Mine Storage, was requested to speak on the topic of “Retrofitting Mines” during the Capabilities, Costs & Innovation Working Group meeting on December 4th.
“All partners of IHA share the vision of bringing pumped storage to the forefront in discussions on necessary developments of global energy systems. We are proud to get the opportunity to present the Mine Storage concept to such a competent, international audience. It confirms the global viability and potential of Mine Storage.”, says Thomas.
Mine Storage is actively engaged in the IHA Capabilities, Costs & Innovation Working Group, which has the purpose to improve the understanding of pumped storage hydro and raise awareness beyond the hydropower community. Part of the purpose is also to highlight latest innovations, which is a perfect match with Mine Storage.
